Ellen’s top 10 Thermomix vegan recipes (but actually 15)
This list was originally meant to be top ten but I just couldn’t cut five- they are all too delicious. So here it is, in no particular order, fifteen amazing vegan thermomix recipes by Alyce that you may or may not have realised were vegan. Enjoy!
I LOVE POTATO so this is easily my favorite bread of Alyces - the potato makes the bread so incredibly soft! If by some miracle, you still have bread left on day three don’t stress, the potato also means it stays fresh, soft and delicious for days. You could, of course, slice it up and freeze it for later.
I love these because they are delicious, super easy to make and most importantly I am in control of what’s in them… and also what’s not! This isn’t something you get when buying store bought crackers. Follow recipe exactly or get creative and throw different flavours in… either way you won’t be disapointed.
When I think of pancakes I immediately default to thinking about eggs and milk… how wrong I am! Vegan pancakes are a thing and these savoury ones are moreish and delicious. Top with anything that you are craving - my favorite being fried tofu and cucumber.
So quick and easy! A perfect base for a smoothie that can easily be adapted depending on what you want to get rid of from your fridge and freezer. I add every superfood I have in the house – you will be left feeling refreshed and energized!
Just leave out the grated cheese and sour cream to serve and this recipe becomes vegan! Replace with some vegan cheese or mash up some avocados to make guacamole and it’s just as good. Serve for breakfast, lunch or dinner as it is perfect for any occasion.
This vegan pesto is so delicious you don’t even need to tell those haters that it’s vegan as they will never know! Super creamy and cheesy (thank you nutritional yeast flakes) and I get to use my spiralizer which I love.
This salad is a perfect flavour base – delicious on its own but also a great starter to whip up when needing to get rid of a bunch of veggies! I love serving it with steamed rice or quinoa for a heartier feel, and because of the Asian dressing it also goes great with fried tofu.
Perfect for summer or winter! Serve with fresh fruit and coconut yoghurt in summer or warm up some soy milk and drizzle with maple syrup - either way you will fill full and satisfied for hours. It’s easy to overdo it on the gluten when avoiding animal products, which is why I love this porridge even more.
Super super creamy smoothie! Enjoy as a meal replacer, afternoon pick-me-up or accompanying a meal! I love how Alyce has included bok choy as it doesn’t alter the flavor but adds so many extra nutrients to your drink.
Change the chicken stock to vegetable stock and you have a delicious laska style soup. I love mushrooms so this recipe is an easy favorite!
I love making this recipe to shock people - no one believes me when I say its vegan, and I don’t blame them as I didn’t believe Alyce when she first made it! The avocado makes this mouse creamy and of course full of good fats. You could even eat it for breakfast…
I love these crackers because they are so delicious on their own - savoury saltiness from the olives combined with little hints of sweetness from the fig… you can’t go wrong.
Make sure the puff pastry is butter free and you have yummy vegan vegetable pasties! Kids love them, adults love them and they remind me of pastizzis that mum so rarely allowed me to eat so I really love them. Make when entertaining as people are always impressed, also great for lunchboxes.
Since becoming vegan I have to read the packaging on every label! I had to learn pretty quick to never assume something is vegan, because most of the time it isn’t. Since taking up this new routine I am now also present to copious amounts of colors, flavours and additives that fill our store-bought food, which brings me to homemade dips! This recipe is full of goodness, no nasties, tastes delicious and can go on everything! While 1L seems like a lot to make in one batch, you’ll be thanking Alyce later.
These balls are perfect for on-the-go ‘bliss ball’ style snack or a healthy dessert. No more hangry (hungry + angry) when you’re out and there’s nothing vegan to eat! Super simple to make which is always a win in my books and look dam impressive.
